I always lose it when she gets to the bridge. “The song Last Kiss is sort of like a letter to somebody uh - that you say all these desperate, hopeless feelings that you have after a breakup. You know going through a breakup, you feel all these different things, you know you feel anger and you feel confusion and frustration but then there’s the absolute sadness. The sadness of losing this person and losing all of the memories and all the hopes you had for the future. And there are just times when you have this moment of truth where you just admit to yourself that you just miss all of these things.”

I’ll never forget the first time I heard the entire song. I was absolutely blown away, and I went and texted Kevin “I was enchanted to meet you.” This song will always and forever make me think of Kevin. This song belongs to him and always will, no matter who I meet.

I just sobbed, because every bit of it was true. I remember when Taylor sang “and turn my nightlight on” I started to sob harder, because I still sleep with a nightlight and knowing this beautiful woman still did too, made me feel so much better about having one. So, now, I know when I go to college I will just sit there and listen to this song and sob, because its completely right and I’m being forced to grow up and I don’t want to.
